Involvement of Children and Young people

The Law of 9 July 1986 on the rights of citizens in provincial legislation and enforcement and on the rights of citizens in the local district council (Styrian People’s Rights Law) defines in §180a (4) the involvement of children and young people as follows:

”The district councils should inform children and young people, who have their main residency in the district, about the relevant projects and planning proposals, and should involve them in opinion making. The council should take the ideas, suggestions and consultation results of children and young people into consideration and include children and young people in their deliberations.“
